What are the UK2 Default Email Settings

This article will help you know what settings you need to use for your email client. Here at UK2 we have tried to create step-by-step instructions for many email clients. Please visit the E-mail section and look for your email client. If it is not there please use these settings.

*Please note that these settings will only work for emails setup within the UK2 Dashboard. If you are a reseller or if you are using the Hosted Exchange through UK2, please click the appropriate link here:  Resellers

Webmail Access:

  1. Go to http://www.uk2.net
  2. Click Login in the top menu

Generic Email Client Settings:

NOTE: These are the generic and default settings for your account. You will need to modify the settings below to match the domain for your account. These settings will only work if your domain is pointing to UK2 correctly.

Protocol: POP3 (What is the difference?)

Server/Hostname/Address: mail.uk2.net
Username: you@yourdomain.com
Password: Your Password (Can be reset in Dashboard or CHI)
Incoming Port: 110
Outgoing Port: 25 (not recommended), 587, 8025
Outgoing Server Requires Authentication
SSL: Disabled
Secure Password Authentication: No

Protocol: POP3 with SSL (What is the difference?)

Server/Hostname/Address: mail.uk2.net
Username: you@yourdomain.com
Password: Your Password (Can be reset in Dashboard or CHI)
Incoming Port: 995
Outgoing Port: 465
Outgoing Server Requires Authentication
SSL: Enabled
Secure Password Authentication: No

Protocol: IMAP** (What is the difference?)

Server/Hostname/Address: mail.uk2.net
Username: you@yourdomain.com
Password: Your Password (Can be reset in Dashboard or CHI)
Incoming Port: 143
Outgoing Port: 25 (not recommended), 587, 8025
Outgoing Server Requires Authentication
SSL: Disabled
Secure Password Authentication: No

Protocol: IMAP** with SSL (What is the difference?)

Server/Hostname/Address: mail.uk2.net
Username: you@yourdomain.com
Password: Your Password (Can be reset in Dashboard or CHI)
Incoming Port: 993
Outgoing Port: 465
Outgoing Server Requires Authentication
SSL: Enabled
Secure Password Authentication: No

**Please note that IMAP has to be enabled for your email account on the server itself before it can be used. IMAP is included with most hosting packages. To enable this or to confirm if your package qualifies, please submit a ticket to the Technical Support Team.

*Some mobile providers require different SMTP settings which can be found here.*
